Argentina Has The Mario Movie On TV While It’s Still In Theatres

Argentinian TV channels are airing The Super Mario Bros. Movie way earlier than they should, with one channel showing it just days after its premiere. On social media, Mario fans can’t believe that they’re able to watch the film at home, as channels such as Gen TV are showing it in full. Copyright laws be damned.
Gen TV’s latest broadcast has Mario fans in a frenzy, sharing videos of themselves watching the film from home while many of us are stuck having to fork out for cinema trips. Better yet, Gen TV managed to get a pretty good quality version of the movie running – not just someone live streaming it from their phone in the cinema.

A bunch of fans have taken to Twitter and YouTube to share evidence of Gen TV’s unauthorised network premiere of The Super Mario Bros. Movie, and it seems like they can’t believe their luck. It’s here that we can see that the quality is actually pretty good, especially considering that it hasn’t appeared on TV anywhere else just yet. Well, not legitimately, anyway.

Our own Axel Bosso, who lives in Argentina, confirmed the validity of the broadcast. Better yet, he explained that Gen TV isn’t even the only one doing it, with widespread digital piracy meaning that more channels can get in on the fun.
He also explained that Gen TV has a longhistory of broadcasting films long before they leave theatres. Others online even say that they’re actually taking film requests, so they’re not even trying to pretend this was a mistake.
